Marie C. Shedlock, 81 of Morann, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born on January 5, 1936 in Morann, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Bacher) Shedlock.
Marie graduated from H-W-B High School. She worked for General Cigar Co. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale. She was also a member of First Catholic Slovak Union, where served as secretary.
She is survived by one sister, Patricia (Daniel) Moyer of Falls Creek; four brothers, Andrew (Sandra) Shedlock of Dubois, John (Barbara) Shedlock of Garfield Hgts, OH, Martin (Sandra) Shedlock of Hawk Run, and Patrick Shedlock of Morann; three nieces, Paula (Matthew) Sheaffer, Jennifer (Bart) Merritt, and Kelly Shedlock; a nephew, Martin (Trisha) Shedlock, Jr.; three great-nieces, Brooke Sheaffer, Danica Shedlock, and Gabrielle Merritt, and two great-nephews, Blaine Shedlock and Nathaniel Merritt.
Friends will be received 5-8 PM Thursday and 9:30-10:30 AM Friday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale. Rev. Marc J. Solomon will be celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin.
