Obituary for Ann Dore
Ann Dore, 105, of Garvey Manor in Hollidaysburg, formerly of Smithmill, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born on September 21, 1913 in Beccaria, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Holobinko) Yope.
On August 14, 1943, she married John Henry Dore. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a member of Janesville United Methodist Church. Ann was a devoted wife and loving mother who gave all her time to family and friends. She loved to cook, and made the best pies. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hill and her husband John, of NJ; daughter-in-law Terri Dore of MD; two grandchildren, Stefanie Hill and John Dore, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Dore, three sisters, Mary Fudrow, Helen Yope, and Susan Vescio, and four brothers, John, Bill, Tim, and Frank Yope.
Friends will be received Monday from 9am until the time of service at 10am at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Pastor Clare Pannebaker will officiate. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Garvey Manor, 1037 S. Logan Blvd, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
