Obituary for Ann Moscollic

Ann (Swincicki) Moscollic, age 96, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Houtzdale, went to meet the Lord on May 18, 2019 at her home. Ann was born in Osceola Mills, PA on July 18, 1922 to John and Antonia (Galembiosko) Swincicki.
Ann led an exceptional and multi-faceted life, sharing her time between Pennsylvania, New York, Arizona, and Maryland. With her husband Mike Moscollic, Ann was an accomplished marksman and angler. She enjoyed deer hunting in the forests and fly fishing in the streams surrounding Houtzdale. Ann cherished her time on the family pontoon boat, fishing with friends and loved ones. Ann had a passion for gardening and was an extraordinary cook and baker specializing in traditional Polish favorites.
Ann exceled at the arts. She was a self-taught pianist and guitar player and acted in the community theatre. Her true calling, however, was with paint and brush. She created striking landscapes, portraits and scenes in water colors and oils. Ann entered many of her paintings in the Clearfield County Fair which garnered her numerous ribbons. Ann was also skilled in the delicate art of Pysanky or Ukrainian egg decorating. She passed her artistic talents on to a number of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also to the public via the coveted courses she taught over the years. One of Ann’s fondest memories was attending the Native American hoop dancing competitions in Arizona. This became a subject of her canvas.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Moscollic, her parents, four sisters, Stella Bartek, Helen Smotzer, Mary Epstein, and Irene Drochak, and three brothers, Peto, Charlie, and Joe.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Peles, Carol Moessinger, and Irene Pino, seven grandchildren, Paulette Howe, Joe Peles, Greg Peles, Jimmy Cowie, Teresa Cowie, Anna Mastromanolis Pino, and Joe Pino, and thirteen great-granchildren, Alexandra Howe, John Howe, Joey Peles, Teddy Peles, Abigail Neal, Katie Peles, Wyletta Cowie, Anthony Pino, Allyson Pino, Angelina Pino, Emmanuel Mastromanolis, Antonio Mastromanolis, and Guiseppi Mastromanolis.
