Obituary for Catherine Marie Jordan
Catherine Jordan, 89, of Ramey, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Tyrone.
Born on August 5, 1929 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Polinsky) Miscavish.
Catherine was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale. She was a banker for twenty-four years at CNB Bank and First Commonwealth Bank. She loved to go gambling at the casinos.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Robert Jordan of Ramey, Gregory Jordan of Ramey, and Tracey Miller of Tyrone; one sister, Margaret Miscavish of West Moshannon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jordan, a grandson, Gregory Jordan; five sisters, Gertrude Albert, Bertha Miscavish, Mary Ann Biancuzzo, Dorothy Thompson, and Martha Miscavish; four brothers, Lawrence, Joseph, Frank, and Thomas Miscavish; and three half-brothers, Raymond, John, and Chester Miscavish.
Family will receive friends 5-8 PM Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 Thursday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday at Christ the King Parish, Houtzdale. Rev. Marc J. Solomon will be celebrant. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
