Obituary for Eleanor Ann Albright

Eleanor Ann Albright, 84, of Houtzdale, PA died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 24,2021 in Houtzdale.

Born July 14,1936 in Patton, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (O’Shell) Shunkwiler.

She was formerly married to the late Thomas “Pup” Albright who proceeded her in death on September 19th, 2007.

She is survived by four children; Rebecca A. Kephart and her husband Larry of Madera, Thomas G. Albright and his wife Judy of Littlestown, PA, Brian D. Albright and his fiancee Sherry Caufman of Ortanna,PA and Dorothy R. Callahan and her husband Robert of Littlestown, PA.
Also survives are 9 grandchildren; Nicole (Pete) Flood ,Larry Kephart Jr., Kristin (Bart) Oshall, Jaime, Alicia, & Amelia Albright, John Nardella, Jacob Albright, and Kaley (Chris Custer) Callahan as well as 11 great grandchildren; Jordan & Ashley Flood, Larry III & Jessica Kephart, Megan, Connor, & Jadyn Oshall, Lawrence & Jackson Albright, Cayden Kraft, and Brynley Custer. 1 great great granddaughter; Sofia Mills, two sisters; Lyla Jarrett of Clearfield, PA and Sharon Waite of Ramey, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gary Shunkwiler, infant grandsons Anthony and Andrew Albright, brother in law Zebuail Waite, daughter in law Leonta Albright, and granddaughter Breanna Callahan.

Eleanor loved her family and friends. She loved people and they loved her. She always had her door open to anyone and accepted anyone’s company. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers & Penn State football teams, and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball. She enjoyed watching games on the television with the company of her caregivers. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and remembered well for her love for everyone and her spitfire personality .
She worked most of her life at various employers including the former Clear Haven nursing home, Clearfield, PA , Proctor Silex factory, Altoona, PA, DDJ manufacturing & the former Quik Chek store, Madera, PA and also Unimart, Inc, Tyrone, PA before suffering a massive stroke at age 58 in which she fought hard to make her way back from. She was Methodist by faith.

Due to Covid restrictions services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
