Obituary for Frank Swartz

Frank E. Swartz, 75, of Ginter, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at home.

Frank was born on March 10, 1947 to Herbert and Berneath (VanScoyoc) Swartz in Philipsburg, PA. After several jobs in the automotive industry, Frank was hired at the railroad in 1974 where he worked as a welder, carman, and painter. As a hobby, Frank did auto-body work out of his home garage where he repaired and painted many vehicles from classics and antiques to new cars.

In 1978, Frank and MaryAnn (Cox) wed and went on to have three daughters; Summer, Katy, and Melanie.

In 2012, Frank retired from the railroad and spent his time taking his El Camino to car shows and cruise-ins and taking his grandsons fishing.

Frank was predeceased by his parents; Herbert and Berneath (VanScoyoc), and his sister; Christine *Toots* Kerr.

Frank is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; their three daughters, Summer Swartz (fiancé Bret Petriskie), Katy Swartz (fiancé David Leamer), and Melanie (Jared) Henry; grandsons, Ethan Snyder and Xander Swartz-Leamer; one sister, Yolonda (Tim) Burns; and his son Ron (Michele) Bricker.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday and from 10am until the time of service at 11am Wednesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Pastor Kevin Howard will officiate.
