Gary L. Chenchark


Gary L. Chenchark, 62, of Smithmill passed away Monday, October 27, 2104 at Smithmill.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1952, in Philipsburg a son of the late Douglas A. Chenchark and Edna J. (Hayward) Chenchark of Houtzdale.

Gary was a 1970 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School and a parishioner of Faith United Lutheran Church Houzdale. He also was a social member of the Janesville V.F.W. Post 6321.

In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by a sister, Shelby K. Socie and her husband William of Houtzdale; two nieces, Michelle Graham and her husband Tyler of Beccaria and Kelly Johnson and her fiance, Adam Anderson of Houtzdale; two great nieces, Riley and MaKenna Chase and a great nephew Devin Johnson. He is also survived by a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 28, 2005.

Friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 31 from 9-11 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc., Ramey, with Pastor Susan H. Yatta officiating.
