Obituary for George Pallo Sr.

George J. Pallo, 94, of Morann, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Born on April 24, 1928, in Hawk Run, PA, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Ruman) Pallo.
He was a US Army veteran, having served in Okinawa during the Korean War. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Houtzdale, The Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Valley Council 10376, I.B.E.W. Local 126, Jednota Lodge, and Transport Workers of America Union.
On June 27, 1953, he married Madeline Slifko in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Houtzdale. She survives at home.
George was an avid Pirates, Penn State, and Steelers fan. He liked gardening, hunting, fishing, and sports. He loved polka music and attended many polka dances. At every wedding he could be found with the orchestra singing the Polka Bridal Dance.
In addition to his wife, he is survived his son George J. Pallo, Jr. of Morann; a brother, Frank Pallo of Force, PA; two sisters, Delores Pallo of Hawk Run, and Ann Mae (Gene) Mehallow of Hawk Run.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death one brother, Joseph Pallo.
Friends will be received 5-8 PM Friday and 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale. Rev. Joseph Czarkowski will be celebrant. Military Honors will be accorded at the church. Private interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin.
