Obituary for Helen Romese
Helen Romese, 83, of Ginter, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital.
Born on November 25, 1938 in Beccaria, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kerko) Mraz.
She was a 1956 graduate of BCI High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, and a member of the Croatian Club, Smokerun. She retired as a caregiver with Comfort Keepers.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Joan O’Leary, and her fiancée, Jon James, of Smithmill; a sister, Verna Kutchman of Boswell, PA; nieces and nephews, Cindy (Claude) Zahar, Chuck (Jane) Myden, Rosemary Stacks, John Kerko, and Patty (Pete) Bloomer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Nevling, Sr., her second husband, James, Romese, Sr., a son, Arthur Nevling, Jr., three brothers, Mike Kerko, Andy Mraz, John Mraz, one sister, Agnes Myden, and a daughter-in-law, Debra Nevling.
Friends will be received Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10-11am at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Zab Amar will be celebrant. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery.
