James E. Reed, age 69, of Smithmill, PA died on June 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 11, 1948 in Philipsburg, PA to the late Ellsworth and Betty Myers Reed.
James worked as a factory worker for General Cigar for 12 years and for Flango Coal Company for 3 years. He was also a devoted member of Janesville United Methodist Church.
James was the longtime companion of Mary Jane Mondock of Smithmill, PA, father of Glenn M. (Tiffany) McCarthney of Bethlehem, PA , loving brother of Margaret (George) Mandrick of Janesville, PA and the late Virginia Yelko, proud uncle of Theresa (Charles) Naro, Debbie (Edward) Appleyard, George (Tina) Mandrick, Mark Mandrick and Larry (Trisha) Yelko.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30th from 10am to time of service at 11am at Janesville United Methodist Church, Route 729, Smithmill, PA with Pastor Clare Pannebaker officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
