Obituary for Jerome Demchak
Jerome P. “Jerry” Demchak, 78, of Houtzdale, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital.
Born April 4, 1942 in Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late Mike and Irene (Petrosky) Demchak.
He was a US Army veteran, having served during Vietnam. Jerry worked in the strip mining industry as a machine operator. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Cecilia (Robinson) Demchak; daughter Lisa (John Sr.) Selvage of Houtzdale; a sister, Nancy (Roger) Snyder of Eden, NC; five grandchildren, Billy Wilson, John Selvage, Jr, Michael Selvage, Jerry Selvage, Orion Selvage; and two great-grandchildren, Devin and Keegan Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Michael Demchak.
Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
