Kathie McGarvey Chandler, 69, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Riddle Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born on September 28, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Irwin) McGarvey.
She is survived by four children, Dan Irwin, Sherri Smith, Viola Hughes, and Howard “Jay” Hughes; two sisters, Bonnie Hamilton and Rose Vance; one brother, Joe McGarvey; one step-brother, Billy Landower.
Kathie is also survived by twenty grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Chandler, and a grandson, Robby Hughes.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM unitl the time of service at 11 AM at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Madera, with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
