Obituary for Kathryn Lumanick

Kathryn Lumanick, 101, of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Ramey, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at Angel’s Senior Living Assisted Living Facility in Port Orange.
Born on February 13, 1918 in Madera, she was the daughter of the late Onuphrey and Maria (Kyptchyk) Basarab.
On June 9, 1945, she married John Lumanick in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey. Kathryn was a member of St. Mary’s, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. She loved baking for the church.
She is survived by two children, John Lumanick and Betty Cotton, both of Florida; two siblings, Susan Warholic and Paul Fenchak; three grandchildren, Dawn Murray, Heather Denney, and Doug Cotton, Jr.; and one great grandchild Haley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John, two sisters, Anna Kohan and Mary Marks, and six brothers, John, Goerge, Stephen, and Michael Basarab and Andrew and Frank Fenchak.
Friends will be received Saturday from 9:30-10:45am at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Parastas will be at 11am in St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey. Fr. James Davidson will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary Ukrainian Cemetery, Ramey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
