Margaret M. "Madge" Pajonk


Margaret M. "Madge" Pajonk, 94, of Smokerun passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 7:20 AM at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1920, in Smokerun, a daughter of the late Marko G. and Magdalene (Kosmac) Zugec.



Madge was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey and was a homemaker.

On Sept. 4, 1943, in Holy Trinity Church, Ramey, Madge married Steve S. "Smiling Steve' Pajonk, he preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1994.

Madge is survived by a son Steve and his wife Kitty, a daughter Trina and her husband John and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents and husband, Madge was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Sally Thomchick, Katie Finch and Annie Guess; 6 brothers, Stephen, Louis, Andrew and George Opalisky and Mark L. Zuges.

Friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 31 from 4-8 PM and on Saturday , Nov. 1 from 9-10:30 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant.
