Obituary for Marie Kitko

Marie (Warholic) Kitko, 86, of Houtzdale, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Windy Hill Presbyterian Village.
Born December 6, 1934 in Smokerun, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann (Heresco) Warholic.
On Apirl 18, 1953 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera, she wed John P. Kitko, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2015.
Marie was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, and was the head cook at the Alley-Popper Restaurant from 1984-2001. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She will be deeply missed by four sons, Richard J. (Jean) Kitko of SC, Raymond P. (Shirley) Kitko of Ocean, John P. (Joan) Kitko of Madera, Christopher R. (Nicole) Kitko of Houtzdale; four sisters, Margie Wrobleski of OH, Josephine “Dolly” Lowe of Smokerun, Patty Berkstresser of McConnellsburg, Jean Gmerek of Philipsburg; six grandchildren, Raymond (Bobbie) Jr., Jesse, Alura, Jonah, Noah, Caleb; and a great-granddaughter, Tessa.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Michael, John, Wasco, Frank, Nick, and George Warholic, Jr; and three sisters, Katherine Raico, Ann Howiler, and Helen Rembarger.
Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Ramey. Mass of Christian Burial will by 11 AM Friday at Christ the King Parish with Father Joseph Czarkowski as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
