Patricia Ann (Murphy) Prestash, 50, of Sandy Ridge, PA, died at 9:50 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 at John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Born on June 9, 1964 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Betty (Vail) Murphy.

Patty graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School and from South Hills Business College. She worked as a grants administrator at Penn St. University.

She married Dennis M. Prestash on October 21, 1989 in St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Dennis M. Prestash, Jr. of Sandy Ridge; one sister, Shirley Murphy of Osceola Mills; father-in-law, George E. Prestash, Jr; mother-in-law, Maryann (Delpra) Prestash; brother-in-laws, George E. Pestash, III, Thomas A. Prestash, and John E. Prestash; sister-in-law, Victoria E. Rusnak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Parastas will be held at 7 PM.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Friday at the church, with Metropolitan Archbishop William C. Skurla, Fr. William Rupp, and Deacon Dennis Prestash officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Hawk Run, PA.
