Obituary for Richard "Butch" Litzinger

Richard “Butch” Litzinger, 60, of Clearfield, formerly of Ramey, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Oasis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Youngstown, OH.

Born on June 12, 1962 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Delores (Howe) Litzinger and the late Robert William Litzinger.

Butch enjoyed Nascar racing, buying and selling cars, spending time in the garage listening to country music, hanging out with family and many, many friends. Especially Mike Teats whom was always there for him when he really needed someone. Mike was a special friend to Butch. And we can’t forget scratch-off lottery tickets with his mom. They were always looking for a quick way to get rich.

Butch was a very hard worker, always willing to help anyone who needed it. He worked for Kitko Wood Products, then for the remainder of his working years he worked for a railroad contractor. He was always up for a good time and will always be remembered for his big smile and laughter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, James (Trish) Litzinger, Kelly (Lance) Evans, Damon Litzinger, Jayce Litzinger; two brothers, Darrell (Deb) Howe and Robert (Deb) Litzinger; four sisters, Tina (Bob) Krause, Karen (her companion Greg) Litzinger, Chris (Sam) Confer, and Lori (Ken) Stephenson.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Litzinger, and a sister, Roxanne Carter.

Family will receive friends Monday, February 20, 2023 from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Madera. Rev. Robert Ford will officiate. Interment will be private.
