Obituary for Richard Evans
Richard A. Evans, 83, of Madera passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital.
Born on July 28, 1939 in Glen Richey, he was the son of the late Orville and Ethel (Holt) Evans.
He was a retired U.S. Army Master Sargent, having served from 1957-1999. He was a member of the Croatian Club in Smokerun, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1172 in Madera, where he was recognized as a Pilgrim of the Order.
On September 5, 1958, he married Donna Ellen Graham in Glen Richey. She survives at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lori Bunnell and Carrie (Chuck) Poole; three sons, Robert “Bret” (Karen) Evans, Delbert Evans, and Corey Evans; two sisters, Evelyn Skebo and Debra Crowley.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Kephart and Dorothy Curry.
Family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 2-4pm at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Madera. Service and Interment will be private.
