Robert C. Phelps, 66, of Mayfield Village, OH, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Hillcrest Hospital. His loving family was by his side. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Loretta (Morrison) Phelps and his devoted daughters: Sara Phelps, Melissa (Darek) Lascko, and Kristina (Eric) Hoehnen. He was Papa to his 2 grandchildren, Makayla Hilton and Clayton Lascko. They truly were the light of his life.
Robert is survived by his brother-in-law John Morrison and sister-in-law Lori Morrison. He is also survived by his mother, Miriam Phelps, and sisters: Karen (John) Korby, Angela Phelps, and Jennifer Stapleton, along with many nieces and nephews.
He worked on the railroad (Penn Central, Conrail, and CSX) for 39 years, before retiring in 2015. He loved spending time with his family and having big family dinners together. He took great pride in being the family handyman and was always willing to help others. He was also meticulous about his home and yard and kept them in pristine condition. He was devoted to his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Funeral Service will be 11AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Father Paul Bigelow will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Vladimir Orthodox Cemetery.
