Beatrice F. (Mura) Latosky


Beatrice F. (Mura) Latosky, 97, of Morann, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 11:25 PM at The Williamsport Home, Williamsport, PA.

She was born on March 21, 1917, in Whiteside the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Phillips) Mura.

Beatrice was a parishioner of Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale; a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Victoria's Court #636, Houtzdale; Christ The King Rosary Society and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Houtzdale Fire Co.

On Aug. 30, 1941, in the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Houtzdale, Beatrice married Frank Latosky who preceded her in death on May 9, 2000.

Beatrice is survived by four children; Frank J. Latosky of Morann; Donna J. Bohon and her husband William R. Bohon, Sr of Chesterfield, VA; Jerome Latosky of Smithmill and Elaine B. Perry and her husband Robert of South Williamsport, PA.

She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Dr. Sonya Bohon-Burchett (Bernard F. Burchett, Jr); William R. Bohon, Jr. (Rose); Wayne R. Bohon; Jason Perry (EvieLyn); Stephanie Boyer (Scott) and Courtney A. Latosky; 8 great grandchildren, Nicholas J. Burchett, Jacob M. Burchett, Clayton R. Bohon, Abigail A. Bohon, Madison Perry, Morgan Perry, Micah Perry and Isabel Boyer.

Beatrice is survived by a brother, Ambrose Mura (Dorothy) of Detroit, MI; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Christine Burchett; a daughter-in-law, Diana Latosky; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Knuth, Gertrude Rougeux and Marcella Pierzynski.

Beatrice enjoyed baking and playing Bingo.

Friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9-10:15 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM Friday in the funeral home by the C.D. of A. St. Victoria's Court and the Christ The King Rosary Society. A Vigil Services will be held at 7:30 PM Friday in the funeral home with Fr. Marc J. Solomon officiating.



Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Marc J. Solomon as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Houtzdale. Memorial donations may be made to The Williamsport Home 1900 Ravine Road Williamsport, PA 17701.
