My heart is broken at the loss of my 4th SISTER Marie,we have known each other 56 years. She let me be her bed buddy for almost 2 years while John was in the Army. Every nite as she knelt to say rosary at bedtime,I would say "Marie do we have to kneel can't we say rosary without kneeling?" she would say "no you'll fall asleep," so we would kneel. I am sure she kept that up her whole life. She was so devout, such a good example of a true Christian, she lived her life the way God wants us all to live, there is no doubt in my mind, her soul is in heaven. I am sure God and our Blessed Mother welcomed her with open arms.
We did a lot of traveling, shopping and eating over the years, she is the only person I knew who could shop all day in Altoona, go to ten stores and come home with 1 pair of socks or a couple dishtowels......it wasn't about the buying it was about the shopping.
We never disagreed or had an unkind word between us, always lots of laughs and good times. She worked so hard, up at 5 and walked that alley every morning in the dark to catch the bus. She was a great daughter, sister and aunt. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and will miss her. I know she will be looking down on us from Heaven.
